I am so thrilled that Dr. Robert Pieretti from the CSUS Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology and I were able to talk about the book drive with Scott Syphax on Channel 6 KVIE. Nora Shimoda set up this opportunity, and we are happy that viewers will hear about literacy and the need for collecting free books for and building the reading skills of low-income children.
We are seeking donations of new and gently-used children's books to give to at-risk children in under-resourced areas of our community. Many of these children have no books at all. Help them have a brighter future by boosting their literacy skills! Give books to a location below, and volunteer to tutor a child through www.readingpartners.org. Change these children's lives through helping their caregivers love, talk to, and read to them. Thanks for your help!

I just saw this program on KVIE. Fantastic work you are doing. I'm on a similar mission to promote literacy and would love to help.
