Thank You, Davis Waldorf School, for Donating 1,843 Books!

Mrs. Ute Luebeck's Fourth Grade Class from the Davis Waldorf School sponsored a schoolwide book drive for its "Warm the Heart" project and collected an astounding 1,843 books to donate to the "Love, Talk, Read" children's book drive.  The books will be donated to hundreds of local families served by various agencies in Yolo County.
Mrs. Ute Luebeck and the fantastic fourth graders of Davis Waldorf School
collected an amazing 1,843 books.  The second grade class collected the most books.
Yogurtland generously donated a yogurt party for both classes.
Thank you, Yogurtland, for supporting our kids in their community service!

The students in the fourth graders' buddy class... the second grade class... won the book drive contest and received the prize of a yogurt party that was generously donated by Yogurtland in Davis.  In fact, Yogurtland was so impressed by the outstanding community service project that they invited both classes to the yogurt party.

The "Love, Talk, Read" book drive is so grateful to the families and staff from the Davis Waldorf School, Yogurtland, and the mighty fourth grade class for their hard work and incredible effort.  We would like to send a special thank you to Tracy Keenan, M.S.W., the School Inclusion Coordinator, who dedicated many hours and a lot of muscle to coordinate the book drive.  Way to Go, Davis Waldorf School!!!
